Editing

We will . . .

  • Check spelling, punctuation, sentence structure, grammar, and use of words
  • Check for consistency
  • Check for age-appropriate vocabulary and content
  • Check for sense and clarity, sentence structure, and general choice of words
  • Rewrite/restructure plot development
  • Work with author to be sure the scriptural message is clear
  • Provide a final proofreading by another editor

    • Editing Fees

  • Prose stories: Up to 1000 words: starts at $125. Additional words: starts at 10 cents/word.
  • Rhymed stories:  Starts at 25 cents/word (minimum $150).
  • Proofreading following editing (for both prose and rhymes): 1 cent/word (minimum $10).

  • Coaching: $60/hour
  • Critiquing: $100/picture book


    • Illustration

  • Single page: starts at $100
  • Double page: starts at $150
  • Spots: start at $50
  • Cover art: starts at $150
  • Prices include up to three revisions (must be done during sketch stage)
  • Artist maintains copyright for all artwork but the fees listed above includes author's rights for both print and e-book publishing along with the right to use artwork for all book promotion materials.

    • Set up: $100
    • Page formatting using your illustrations: $15/page

    Cover Design

    • Cover design using your illustration:
    • $300 for paperback,
    • $400 for hardback, or you can have both for $600
    • Additional charges may apply for licensed fonts or extensive formatting outside normal contract pricing.  Any additional charges will be preapproved by author.
    • All above fees include one round of changes. Additional changes subject to $60/hour in additional fees.
