Cheyenne Nixon

I was hired to work as a freelance illustrator for CED in 2024 while personally searching for editing services. As I was speaking with Rachel about my background as a writer/illustrator, she mentioned CED was looking for an illustrator. I am excited to be part of a company that honors God and helps people bring their stories to life.

I illustrated my first children’s book in 2015; then, four years later, I became the author/illustrator of my own in 2019, entitled A New Creature. I am a graduate of the Art Institute of Philadelphia, where I received my associate’s and bachelor’s degrees in animation. I’ve freelanced as a graphic artist for many years and had the opportunity of working as an assistant animator on a direct to video feature entitled Cocomelon and the Fruity Tunes.

I grew up as an only child in New Jersey, where I grew up creating homemade picture books at my grandparents’ end table. I love animals, nature, walking, going to the beach, cooking, and reading the Bible.

“ But He answered and said, Every plant, which my heavenly Father hath not planted, shall be rooted up.”
Matthew 15:13 (KJV)
