Shannon Herring

I have always had a creative side, a love for people, and the desire to be helpful to others, but I did not know what I wanted to do “when I grew up.”  Thankfully, the Lord guided my steps on the path to the perfect job to use my gifts and to meet my desire to be available for all the important life events that would become most important to me . . . my family.

Aside from the founder of this amazing company, I was the first member of the team back in 2009. Prior to my beginning with CED, I had worked within the print and design field since 1996.

My creative side loves creating book covers and interior formatting design. It is so satisfying to me! Being able to take a manuscript and package it into a beautiful end-product with its own personality and flair is very rewarding.  Assisting each author on their journey through independent publishing is something I very much enjoy. It can feel like a daunting task for some, and my goal is to walk along with you through each step of the process so that you are comfortable and empowered with new knowledge. AND if you are a children’s book author—I’m your girl.  I absolutely love the layout and design process of children’s books.

My husband and I have been married since 1997 and are part-time empty nesters as our beautiful daughter is away at college waiting to see where the Lord guides her. We reside in Northwest Georgia.

Due to the doors God has led me through, I find this verse fitting and inspiring: “For we are God’s masterpiece. He has created us anew in Christ Jesus, so we can do the good things he planned for us long ago” (Ephesians 2:10 NLT).
