Hannah Hockney

Drawing has always been my passion. I grew up lugging around sketchbooks and pencils and using my big imagination to create not just art, but narrative art. Storytelling has always been important to me, and drawing has been the best medium to tell my stories. These passions are what led me to pursue art in college.

I graduated from the University of Cincinnati College of Design, Architecture, Art, and Planning with my BFA in Fine Arts with a focus in drawing and painting and my Certificate of Animation. I learned to work with not only physical media such as oil and acrylic paint and colored pencils, but also digital media and software such as the Adobe Creative Suite, Clip Studio Paint, and Procreate. I’ve also been managing my own social media accounts to show and sell my art. Through my college experience, my artistic abilities grew, and so did my deep desire to glorify the Lord with my work. I am very excited for the opportunity to join CED and to work with others who also strive to glorify God in storytelling.

I have always lived in Cincinnati, and I love it here. When I’m not drawing, you can usually find me playing my guitar, reading a mystery novel, playing volleyball, or spending time with my friends and family.

“Behold, God is my salvation; I will trust, and will not be afraid; for the Lord God is my strength and my song, and he has become my salvation.”
Isaiah 12:2 (ESV)
