Emma E. Duncan
Emma Duncan discovered her love for English and literature in a 10th-grade Ohio classroom. After graduating, she obtained her Bachelor of Arts in English and a minor in Creative Writing from Southeastern University (SEU). While at SEU, she started freelance editing and became a peer tutor; by the time she graduated, she had earned a professional tutoring certification from the College Reading and Learning Association (CRLA). After graduating with her B.A., Emma attended Rutgers University for graduate school, earning her Master of Arts in English with an emphasis on Native American Literature. Emma started teaching English Composition 1 & 2 at Rutgers University in Fall 2018, and now continues to teach for RU as well as Atlantic Cape Community College. Emma now lives in Glassboro, New Jersey with her husband and golden retriever.
Emma has experience editing creative nonfiction books, doctoral dissertations, masters theses, and smaller academic projects. She is comfortable editing in MLA, APA and Chicago/Turabian. Her attention to detail is precise and she enjoys copyediting, proofreading, and line editing.
