Amy Fisher

I am thrilled to be a part of the CED team as an illustrator. CED is personable and full of grace, life, passion, intentionality, and excellence. It is an honor to be a part of this team in bringing so many creative and beautiful ideas to life!

I was raised to value using creativity and the arts to worship God and serve others. My father was my high school (and built-in, lifelong) art teacher. I went to school for music education, but throughout my time in that field, art has always been woven into life—whether it was creating sets for my college musicals, years of taking various commissions, or creating artwork for my classroom, I can’t imagine life without it.

In the last few years, I have grown my styles and methods through selling my own art on Etsy and at art shows and through illustrating my first children’s book. Although I enjoy mediums like paint and pen tremendously, I have grown to love the many benefits of creating digitally, particularly for illustrations. My favorite content is nature—flowers, mountains, water, and so on.

I am a mom of two beautiful little ones and wife to a sweet, silly, steadfast husband. I’m from Pittsburgh, PA, but my home since 2013 is Lancaster, PA. In my free time I also love to make music, travel, enjoy coffee and tea, and spend time with family and friends. One of my favorite Bible verses, because of its truth about who God is and its encouragement for each day, is Lamentations 3:22–23: “The steadfast love of the Lord never ceases; his mercies . . . are new every morning; great is your faithfulness” (ESV).
