Amele Sakpo
As a newcomer to the CED family, I am thrilled to take on the role of book cover designer and collaborate with clients on their creative journeys. I graduated in 2020 with a bachelor of science in computer information technology with a concentration on software development and a minor in French from Miami University. This unique background allows me to blend technical skills with artistic expression, crafting book covers that not only catch the eye but also tell a story.
Over the years, I’ve developed a strong foundation in technology, photography, graphic design, and web development. I hold certifications in various areas and possess skills in platforms such
as Salesforce, CMS, and CRM, as well as expertise in the Adobe Creative Suite. My programming abilities span languages including HTML, CSS, JavaScript, PHP, and Java, along with database management in MySQL and SQL. This multifaceted knowledge empowers me to approach design projects with creativity and precision.
Cover designs are about creating art and images that represent a book’s story. At CED, I’ll be connecting concepts, colors, and fonts to create covers that resonate with readers and entice them to pick up the book. There’s something truly special about working with clients who feel like friends and being part of a community that values collaboration and creativity. I am dedicated to lifelong learning and volunteerism, continually seeking new ways to infuse my love for art, design, and technology into my work.
When I’m not designing, you can find me indulging in creative pursuits like reading and painting or enjoying a good movie or TV show. My artistic inspiration extends to fashion and the endless
possibilities technology brings to my creative vision. I’m excited to see where this journey takes me.
“For we are his workmanship, created in Christ Jesus unto good works, which God hath before ordained that we should walk in them” (Ephesians 2:10 KJV).
