One of my earliest memories is reciting Bible verses in the Bible Memory Association’s ABC Memory Plan. Through the years, my interest and love for Scripture has grown deeper and wider. Just before I graduated from Bible college, a friend invited me to help edit a Greek dictionary for a Christian publisher. Then came the shock—I loved it! Never had I considered such a profession, but since 1988 I have been involved in editing, writing, and developing Bible-centered materials such as study Bibles, Bible exposition, sermons, Bible studies, Christian fiction, devotionals, and Bible curriculum for all ages. Beyond that, the Lord also had me involved in teaching Sunday school, Bible studies, men’s groups, young adults, children, and even much preaching. This God-given privilege to soak so thoroughly in His Word constantly astonishes me.
A colleague of mine introduced me to CED in 2025. It is a blessing to serve in this organization, using my experience and knowledge to help others communicate the riches of God’s truth found in His Word. My main efforts focus on developmental, content, and line editing, but I do proofreading as well.
My wife and I enjoy an empty nest and yet love watching our three children mature and grow here in northeast Ohio. In my free time I enjoy disc golf, hiking, playing guitar, and spending time with my wife and family. A favorite verse of mine is Isaiah 55:11: “My word that goes out from my mouth: It will not return to me empty, but will accomplish what I desire and achieve the purpose for which I sent it” (NIV).
