Rachel (Cain) Porter

I became one of CED’s owners in December 2020. Prior to CED, I was a high school English teacher for more than twenty years. Now, I am an instructional design coach for a large public school district a bit north of Cincinnati. I hold bachelor’s and master’s degrees, both of which are in education. I absolutely love my role at CED—I guess you could call me the C.O.O. of the company. I have the pleasure of finding just the right fit for our clients when it comes to connecting them to one of our CED team members, and I love it! My favorite thing about working with CED is the personal relationships I have with so many on the team. In many ways, this team is like family, and that’s because Karen created that culture when she started CED in 2009.

When I’m not working, I enjoy relaxing in my historical-church-turned-house built in 1889. I also love spending time with family and close friends and reading good books. I live in a small village just north of Cincinnati, Ohio. I am mom to one son and two daughters, but my newest title is “Granny Rach,” since the addition of my grandson Sebastian in April 2022.

A scripture I cling to is Proverbs 3:5–6: “Trust in the Lord with all your heart, and lean not on your own understanding; in all your ways acknowledge Him, and He will direct your paths” (MEV).
