Connor Ploetz

I am an undergraduate student at the University of Cincinnati pursuing degrees in creative writing and professional writing, along with a certificate in copyediting. In addition to my academic pursuits, I am an editor for Short Vine, my university's undergraduate literary journal, and a reader/reviewer for After Dinner Conversations, a nonprofit literary journal.

Through these experiences, I discovered my passion for editing. As a line editor and proofreader, I love helping authors produce their best writing by finding ways to bring out their unique voices and skills. Finding and fixing little details in writing never ceases to excite me, and I am always eager to open up and dig into any project.

I am very grateful for the opportunity to gain experience in the editing and publishing field because this is the field I hope to work in upon graduating from college. When I'm not editing, I enjoy reading, writing, spending time with my friends and family (and pets), and wandering around my hometown of Cincinnati. One truth I always try to keep in my mind as I go about my life is Ecclesiastes 3:1, “For everything there is a season, and a time for every matter under heaven” (ESV).
