My nose is always pretty firmly planted in a book and it has been that way since I was able to read. I can remember dragging library books with me up a tree to my favorite reading spot as a child, hidden from the world where it was just myself and a story. I love stories and will seek them out anyway I can get them.
What led me to seek out work in publishing is the combination of a comfortable, bookish environment mixed with the breathless busyness that goes on behind the scenes of transforming an author’s story into a book. I have a passion for encouraging people to tell their stories, especially when that story is one placed on their hearts by God.
In 2016, I began working as a copywriter for a health care sharing ministry. Here I spent the next two years honing my skills as a creative writer on a professional level and working with some of the most creative and truly encouraging people I have ever met.
In 2018, I received my Associates in Science degree. I spent much of that time proofreading papers for classmates because it was something I truly loved.
I now work full-time as a freelance editor, proofreader, and beta reader.
I love a good thunderstorm, a strong cup of coffee, and being outdoors, particularly hiking, fishing, watching animals interact with their environments, and, of course, reading. I live in Indiana with my husband, our (soon to be) daughter, and fur babies.
