Jane Leibbrand, CED editor, ghostwriter, copy writer, blog writer, critique specialist, and social media specialist, is a highly experienced communications executive with specialties in promotional/copy writing, grant writing, ghostwriting for CEOs, substantive editing, and organization branding. She served for 21 years as the communications staffer (director and subsequently vice president for communications) at the National Council for Accreditation of Teacher Education/Council for the Accreditation of Educator Preparation, an international nonprofit and summative evaluation body. In that role, working directly with two presidents of the organization, she helped bring the accrediting body to the fore as a leader not only in standards development but also in national education policy. She led strategic communications, rebranding the organization as the standard of excellence in its domain and formulating targeted messages to specific target audiences. She has extensive experience in internal and external communications and has written policy reports, journal and magazine articles, book chapters, op-eds, hundreds of sets of talking points for CEOs, a national newsletter/brief. She has managed and written promotional collateral disseminated to thousands nationwide and internationally. While at the accrediting body, Leibbrand authored numerous winning grants that grew the organization capacity to become a resource and key partner to the states.
For that organization and other clients, she has led direct mail email marketing campaigns that increase the bottom line, as well as social media campaigns and launches which have more than doubled organization presence and followers. She volunteers with a faith-based nonprofit dedicated to combatting human trafficking.
